Evan tries to explain that he is an Other but he is still human as well which Cassie angrily says couldn't be possible given what the Others had done. They both shared grief in her loss and the mistrust and tension between them seemed to disappear. At the base, the military have used deception and technology to convince the rescued children that the humans outside the base have been possessed. The child is only three feet tall. When Sam couldn't sleep as he misses his sister, Ben takes him to see the stars and fondly tells him the story of Cassiopeia. Ben and his Squad leaving for their mission The Squad's mission was to exterminate some 'Teds' that Vosch's intelligence had found were gathering in a town and were stockpiling guns and other high value weapons to begin a siege. Ten days later, The Others unleash their 1st Wave, an that permanently destroys all electrical power.
There are countless reasons why a movie might not be moved into in-production status, but it's a decent bet that the studio's hesitancy to move forward with series has a lot to do with box office. About a week later, she wakes up in the farmhouse of a young man named Evan Walker, who saved her. He was last seen in the gym by Cassie though she only saw the back of his head. A very tearful goodbye happens between Cassie and Evan and he gives her a farewell kiss. At Camp Haven, Ben is brainwashed into believing that Chris is one of the Others, so Ben pushes a button to kill him. She tried to seduce him but his new feelings for Cassie kept him from giving into her.

Ben felt that it was a shame that Nugget's life was cut so short and that he had nothing really to look forward to or had much in his past to look back on happily.
In just the first weekend «The 5th Wave» has attracted almost three million viewers. This mistrust carried on from that moment even when it was thought that Evan might be dead. When Ben and the others have based themselves in a new safe house, he doesn't feel comfortable knowing that Ringer has no clue what has happened and has probably returned to where they used to be and found it gone. He wanted to be shot so that he would be treated and drugged with painkillers so that he wouldn't be immediately hooked up to Wonderland and not give away to Vosch and the Others that they were on to them. He still holds her memory close to his heart and has decided to set off to destroy all the remaining bases that had technology from the Others to make sure that Cassie's sacrifice wasn't in vain. The 2nd Wave has The Others manipulate the planet's geology and fault lines, causing and that destroy coastal cities and islands.
Ben being made Squad Leader for standing up to Reznik He is then moved to where he is given the name Zombie under Reznik and is put to training. In the book, the Evan Walker section is extremely strange and suspenseful. He first came upon as one of his targets, but after wounding her he instead chooses to care for and then love her. The rest of the family trek to a makeshift refugee camp in the woods where everyone is armed to the teeth. He asks her what she was doing there and she said she heard a noise and went to investigate but that there was nothing except rats.
He also shows that he cares for her safety when he wishes her luck and tells her to be careful when she goes to conduct a solo scouting mission away from the Squad. She easily counters that Poundcake could be a silencer as he has returned without Teacup and never speaks which Ben argues is ridiculous. When Ringer leaves to head to the base and help Cassie save Evan and kill Vosch, Ben tries to coax another smile from Ringer by giving her a small kiss but she refuses to smile because 'it wouldn't be real'. He makes his way to the hotel where Cassie and have holed themselves up. He finds Ben and knocks him out. Ben had even confessed that he thought Vosch was the best of the humans who remained.
Unfortunately, he saw that he got hurt by a piece of metal that flew into his lower back. While still in the barn she turns to bump into Evan. Still, fans of the latter's movie and novels are hoping to see become a reality. Even the most primal scenes mass executions, family reunions, goodbyes , are ho-hum. Those feelings are soon returned but become complicated when she learns that he isn't truly human. He insisted that she would be coming for him but Ben was sure that she was dead though he never voiced that to him.
When he was injured after destroying Camp Haven, he had stumbled into her territory and she moved to help him in a similar manner that he had done for Cassie. Ben tried to quell Tank's insanity which finally ended when Flintstone came up from behind and disarmed him. Ben was the high school's football star and captain. After that, Ben believed Ringer's theories. They entered a complicated time of their relationship after that, which was further complicated by both Ben and the members of Squad 53 insisting that Evan couldn't be trusted.
When he finally comes to he sees that the squad has picked up a new occupant in the hotel called. Once Ben discovers their deception, he resolves to rescue Sammy from the same fate. They come up with a plan to get her in, with Evan helping from the outside. Here, she just seems slightly put-out and sometimes super-scared. Rick Yancey's trilogy the final installment scheduled for May 2016 is filled with haunting imagery of the earth left more than half-empty, but most chillingly, he understands tyranny and how it operates: if you can make confused frightened people line up and march towards the exits in an orderly fashion, you're halfway towards owning them completely.
